Working as creative consultant, I collaborated with Ranni throughout the concept and exploration phase, combining references, prompt development and multiple generative AI tools to produce hundreds of possible garments and silhouettes. Rather than treating AI as a shortcut, we used it as a creative partner to challenge assumptions, discover unexpected forms and expand the designer’s visual language.
From that exploration, we selected the strongest concepts that aligned with Ranni’s style and translated them into real garments. The final collection, titled Shōrai ,“future” in Japanese, was produced and presented at Chicago Fashion Week, turning AI-generated ideas into tangible pieces on the runway.
